On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Hero Motocorp, the head of the company Pawan Munjal gave surprised to the Hero fans by showing them the electric scooter coming from their company. The new Hero EV scooter was unveiled as a surprising element in a live stream set up to mark the 10th anniversary. Pawan Munjal will reveal more details in the coming days.
The two wheeler EV market race began with the arrival of Ola in the stagnant electric scooter market. Pre-booking alone has achieved a record of over 1 lakh orders in just 24 hours after bookings are opened. Moreover, Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal has created buzz in the market by revealing every single feature related to Ola scooters on social media. This increased the pressure on the other two wheeler manufacturers in India. Taking hint of Ola marketing gimmick Hero Motocorp Pawan Munjal revealed their company’s Electric scooter without announcing any specifications.
As per the observation from the video, Hero scooter used telescopic suspension at the front and mono suspension at the rear. The front wheel dial is 12 inches while the rear wheel dial is 10 inches. Compared to other electric scooters, the Hero electric scooter is larger in size.
Battery charging and backup is a major issue for electric scooters. Focusing on improvement on these two issues, Hero has previously announced that it will launch its scooter. Hero has also entered into an agreement with Taiwanese Gogo Company for battery swapping technology. The Hero electric scooter is expected to hit the market later this year or early next year.
