New Honda CB200X bike launched to compete Hero XPulse 200

Leading two-wheeler maker Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has launched another new motorcycle CB200X Adventure Tourer. It is priced at Rs 1.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Gurugram). Honda has adapted this bike to suit everyday needs as well as off-road riding. It seems that this bike was brought to compete with the Hero XPulse 200 off road bike and Royal Enfield Himalayan.

Honda Managing Director, President and CEO Atsushi Ogata said at the launch of the bike that the Honda CB200X was designed with the changing urban lifestyle of the youth in mind to provide them with the best riding experience. The bike is said to cater to daily needs as well as weekend trips.

In terms of specifications the new Honda CB200X bike is coming with 184 cc engine with BS-6 standards. It produces 17bhp at 8,500rpm and 16.1Nm of torque at 6000 rpm. Equipped with a 5 speed gearbox. The previous Hornet 2.0 had the same engine.

The new Honda CB200X Adventure Tourer offers LED light setup, full digital liquid crystal meter, split seat, single channel ABS, front and rear disc brakes. The bookings for the bike have started and deliveries will start from next month, said Yadvinder Singh Guleria, director of the company.
