Auto sales increased in July 2021

The auto companies are excited as the vehicle sales doubled in July. Domestic economic conditions have stabilized and buyer sentiment has strengthened. Despite obstacles in the supply of semiconductors, the decline in the number of Covid-19 cases has contributed to the increase in passenger vehicle sales.

Maruti Suzuki India’s domestic sales grew by 39 percent last month. The Maruti mini car segment, which includes the Alto and WagonR, saw sales increase to 19,685 vehicles. Sales of such vehicles in June 2020 stood at 17,258.

Total sales of compact cars such as Swift, Celerio, Ignis, Baleno, Desire increased from 51,529 to 70,268 vehicles; Sales of the Vitara Breza, S-Cross, and Ertiga increased from 19,177 vehicles to 32,272 vehicles. Tata Motors, Hyundai, Honda and MG Motors also performed well.
