The TN state government has imposed restrictions on people coming to Tamil Nadu from Kerala. People coming from Kerala must bring the RTPCR report. The decision was taken by the Tamil Nadu government following a sharp rise in Covid cases in Kerala in the last few days.

TN State Health Minister Subramaniam said in a statement on Sunday that the RTPCR report is mandatory for people coming to Tamil Nadu from Kerala from August 5. On Saturday alone, 20,624 new Covid positive cases were registered in the state of Kerala. A total of over one lakh people have been affected by corona in the last five days alone.

From Saturday, Karnataka has also made corona test reports mandatory on the Kerala and Maharashtra inter-state borders.
