One of the world’s fastest growing country India is celebrating its 71st Republic Day today. The country’s constitution came into effect on January 26, 1950 and this day is celebrated every year by hoisting the Indian National Flag. Republic Day is declared a national holiday in India.
The current President of India Ram Nath Kovind will hoist the National Flag at 7.30 am at Red Fort in New Delhi. He is also the Supreme Commander of the Indian Armed Forces
The Republic Day Parade at Rajpath, New Delhi is the important event as the Prime Minister of India, Chief guest from other country, people from around the world attend it. Indian armed forces with latest weapons do the march at the event. Many cultural and social Heritage figures representing a scene from a story or from history are showcased. These colourful tableaus attract the children and visitors so much.
For the 71st Indian Republic Day celebrations Brazil President Jair Bolsonaro is invited as a guest of honour.
