Badminton player PV Sindhu wins Bronze medal at Tokyo Olympics

Indian badminton player PV Sindhu clinched to win a Bronze medal at Tokyo Olympics 2021. She beat Chinese shuttler He Bingjiao scoring 21-13 and 21-15 in continuous sets. This is PV Sindhu’s second medal after the first silver medal Rio Olympics 2016.

President Ramnath Kovind and PM Narendra Modi congratulated PV Sindhu for the achievement. Telangana CM KCR and AP CM YS Jagan congratulated her.

PV Sindhu’s father Ramana and mother Vijaya spoke to the media and expressed happiness. They thanked everyone who supported her in this endeavor. Her father said he would go to Delhi airport to welcome her when she return to India from Tokyo Olympics.
