Indian Army soldiers are highly praised for their generosity and dedication to help a pregnant woman in heavy snow. The incident which happened in Jammu Kashmir is now shared across the social media with pride about the Indian jawans.


Jammu and Kashmir is experiencing heavy snow in this winter and has become difficult to travel. Even the emergency services are affected. In this situation woman named Shamima, a resident of Dardpora village near Tangmarg area of Baramulla in North Kashmir developed pregnancy pains and required hospitalisation. As there is no chance of vehicle transportation, the Indian Army jumped in to rescue the pregnant woman.

Over 100 army men with the help of locals carried the pregnant woman on a stretcher walking 4 hours in heavy snow. Shamima could reach the hospital on time and she gave birth to a baby.
The Chinar Corps of the Indian Army officially confirmed that the mother and baby are in good health and shared a 30 second video of the Indian soldiers carrying pregnant woman in the snow. Many people around the world shared the video and photos of the army soldiers generous act and saluted them.
