Life Insurance Corporation (LIC), that has been providing insurance services till date, has now forayed into the field of financial services. LIC is partnering with IDBI Bank to launch two rupay credit cards. LIC Cards Services Limited (LIC CSL) unveiled the cards on Saturday.
Lumine Platinum Credit Card and Éclat Select credit card will be offered to customers by LIC CSL. These credit cards offer a variety of offers and benefits aimed at attracting customers. Lumine cardholders will receive three Delight points and Eclipse Select Credit cardholders four points on a spend of Rs 100 using LIC credit card.
LIC credit cards benefits
There will be benefits on LIC credit cards. 1% fuel surcharge will be waived on fuel transactions above Rs.400. If transactions above Rs.3000 are converted into EMI, there will be no processing or closing fee. EMI options are available from 3 months to 12 months depending on the needs and preferences of the cardholder. Complimentary lounge facilities are available at national and international airports on the Eclat Card. Both the cards can be used interest free for up to 48 days. These cards work for four years.
LIC has revealed that these credit cards are being issued only to a very small number of specific customers. The services of these cards are limited to LIC policyholders, LIC agents, LIC employees and employees of its subsidiaries.
